"Rising Voices" is the voice of today's youth, their view of the world, and how we come together
“Rising Voices” is a choreographic creation born from a collaboration between the universities of Poitiers, La Rochelle, and Bordeaux. For the first time, these three institutions are uniting the dynamic forces that bring dance to life on their campuses, bringing together students, teachers, and artists around a shared project.
In this immersive piece, audience and performers share the same space, inviting
everyone to rethink their place and explore a new, sensory relationship with live performance
.
Dance thus becomes a space for exchange where individuals, in their
uniqueness and differences, weave together the strength of a vibrant collective. Driven by the
voices of youth, Rising Voices reveals their aspirations, their questions, and
their vision of a more open, more united, and more just world.
From an educational perspective, the project unites a shared desire while embracing a
diversity of artistic levels: with nearly fifty performers, it addresses
key challenges in transmitting choreographic material and adapting to the
various venues where the performances take place.’’
